Tempur Sealy in Indiana's Crawfordsville area is hiring an Assembly technician to join the production team. This role involves building mattresses, wrapping, labeling, boxing, and coordinating with other stations to keep the line moving safely and efficiently.

You will follow safety guidelines, operate manual and automated equipment, perform quality checks at each step, and participate in inventory and housekeeping to maintain a clean, compliant workspace.

• Maintains high quality, efficient operation of product and equipment.
• Wrap mattress with a protective covering and sew ends of covering.
• Insert wrapped mattress into a consumer-ready textile.
• Seal covered mattress, labeling and applicable documentation into plastic packaging.
• Box and strap finished mattress for shipping.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Operate automated assembly equipment utilizing the HMI controls, and perform manual equipment operation or trouble-shooting as necessary.
• Maintain and clean assigned work area.
• Assists with other tasks associated with Assembly.
• Perform quality inspections at every step in the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Trained to use inventory management scanners.
• Participate in inventory.

SUMMARY

The Assembly technician works in the Assembly department. This includes, but is not limited to installing netting, installing covers, installing label, boxing, tub building, bed assembly, product management and more. Performs all of these responsibilities while creating a safe work environment for him/her and all other technicians.

Salary: $20.80
