Job summary

Tempur Sealy in Maryland (Hagerstown) is seeking an assembler to upholster boxspring units for our bedding lines. The team of two assembles padding and fabric on coil springs, lifting a 10-pound grid and stapling with nail guns to complete each unit.

You will work Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $22.60 per hour, and enjoy benefits including quarterly bonus potential, employee discounts, medical and dental coverages, disability and life insurance, paid time off and 401(k) options.

Upholsters boxspring units by stapling padding and fabric on coil spring units. Staples fabric and dust cover to wood frame using a staple gun.

This work is typically done in a team of two and they build the box spring assembly before it is covered. The person lifts a 10 pound grid, laying it on the wooden slats which are on a waist high table. They then used modified staplers/nail guns to tack the assembly in place. It is then lifted off of the table onto a stack. The rate per team is approximately 60 per hour.
