Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking an Assembly Technician for 2nd shift to support mattress foam core production. The role involves loading/unloading, applying covers, palletizing products, and ensuring quality control.

You will follow safety guidelines, operate processing machines, and help maintain a clean, efficient work area. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for overtime during busy production periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop and operate machinery.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to work overtime during high demand seasons.
• Knowledge of PC usage and basic data entry.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and work as part of a team to achieve zero incidents.
• Follow instructions and suggest improvements when appropriate.
• Load and unload mattress-sized foam cores from processing machines.
• Apply covers and materials to foam cores, then palletize or box for shipment.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and escalate issues as needed.
• Occasionally support other functions outside the primary work area.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

We are currently recruiting for Assembly Technicians on 2nd shift. Hourly Rate $20.90

What You Will Do:

• Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
• Follow specific instructions on completing tasks assigned and is able to make suggestions for improvement
• Loading and unloading mattress sized foam cores from various processing machines that cut and package the cores.
• Apply covers and other material to foam cores, then palletize and/or box them for shipment.
• Ensures that all product is produced in accordance with the Company's quality standards and elevates issues as needed
• Occasionally fills in for other functions outside of primary work area
• Maintains and cleans assigned work area

What you will need:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery on a continuous basis.
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours during high demand production seasons.
• Knowledge of PC usage is preferred and basic data entry operations.
• Fork truck certification a plus
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior manufacturing experience
• 18+ years of age.
