Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking a hands-on technician to perform trouble shootings and a broad range of assembly tasks in the plant. Responsibilities include assembling components, testing functions, and preparing items for shipment, with emphasis on auto/heavy equipment skills.

Candidates should read engineering drawings, interpret schematics, and document test results. Experience with vehicle systems and the ability to work with precision instruments, communicating effectively with team members,

Qualifications

• Requires vocational training in vehicle mechanical/electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Prefer 1–2 years of related experience in vehicle conversion/maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and electrical diagrams.
• Inspect work with precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrates skill proficiency across production stations and final processing functions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components across stations as required.
• Troubleshoot vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, etc.).
• Perform functional testing according to FIR requirements.
• Handle materials and operate hand/power tools.
• Document test results and assess vehicle status for replacements.

Job description

Job Description Performs trouble shootings a board range of assembly tasks in the plant. Such functions may include, but not limited to, assembly, cycling and preparation for shipment and inspection. Serves as a resource to other team members. Auto / Heavy Equipment skills needed.

Requirements:

• Works from engineering drawings, such as electrical drawings, including schematics and pictorials, technical manuals and station instruction sheets
• Performs troubleshooting tasks on vehicle systems, such as, electrical, mechanical, functional, hydraulics, fuel, power train, suspension, etc
• Performs functional testing of vehicles according to final inspection requirements (FIR)
• Performs assembly tasks in all stations, as required
• Performs material handling tasks and moving functions, using hand and power equipment as required
• Conducts tests and prepares test reports
• Assesses current vehicle status, noting parts to replace, parts missing, and overhaul conditions and documents assessment information

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Work requires the level of general educational development equivalent to that normally acquired be completing vocational training in vehicle mechanical and electrical component / system assembly and necessary troubleshooting to ensure proper operation / function
• Prefer 1 - 2 years of related experience in vehicle conversion / maintenance
• Requires the ability to read and interpret work instructions. engineering drawings, electrical schematics and diagrams
• Inspect work with precision measuring instruments
• Must be able to demonstrate skill proficiencies in each of the production assembly stations and final processing functions
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills are required in order to maintain a good working relationship with team members and other departments
