Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EST Group in Hatfield, PA is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead the Pop-A-Plug assembly team onsite. You will enforce procedures, verify documentation, perform inspections, and release products only when requirements are met.

A strong leader fosters collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability on the shop floor. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure travelers and docs are accurate, and work with Quality & Engineering to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Previous supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and production documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and production deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and manufacturing/ERP systems.
• Experience in a regulated or quality-critical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production travelers.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve nonconformances.
• Experience developing cross-training and employee qualification programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team.
• Serve as the primary quality gatekeeper within the assembly process.
• Ensure job travelers and production documentation are completed accurately and timely.
• Partner with Quality & Engineering to investigate nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor recurring assembly defects and identify opportunities for process improvements and training.
• Coordinate onboarding and cross-training of Assembly employees.
• Identify gaps between procedures and actual production and communicate to Engineering and Quality.
• Conduct routine floor audits to verify compliance with processes.
• Set standards for teamwork, communication, attendance, quality, productivity and conduct.
• Lead by example to uphold team standards.
• Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Support 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
