Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EST Group in Hatfield, PA is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead the Pop-A-Plug assembly team, acting as the primary quality gatekeeper in the process and ensuring production travelers and documentation are completed accurately.

You will coordinate with Quality and Engineering to investigate nonconformances, drive continuous improvement, onboard and cross-train staff, and uphold safety and 5S practices while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or relevant manufacturing education preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Previous supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and production documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and production deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and manufacturing/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Pop-A-Plug Assembly team.
• Serve as the primary quality gatekeeper within the assembly process.
• Ensure job travelers and all required production documentation are completed accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Partner with Quality & Engineering to investigate nonconformances/implement corrective actions.
• Monitor recurring assembly defects and identify opportunities for process improvements, mistake-proofing, and additional training.
• Coordinate onboarding and cross-training of Assembly employees.
• Identify gaps between documented procedures and actual production practices and communicate those gaps to Engineering and Quality.
• Conduct routine floor audits to verify compliance with established processes.
• Set clear standards for teamwork, communication, attendance, quality, productivity, and conduct.
• Lead by example to uphold expected team standards.
• Ensure employees follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies.
• Support 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
