Job summary

JOA is seeking a Supervisor to lead a work group, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence. The role includes daily staff management, safety enforcement, and collaboration across departments to maximize utilization within the area.

You will drive on-time part delivery, reduce scrap and warranty costs, and support continuous improvement through ECNs/NCs and tooling development.

Qualifications

Associates degree or technical certification equivalent.
6+ years of related experience.
1+ years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
Strong mathematical skills including basic math and trig.
Knowledge of reading blueprints and routings.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of employees including hiring, development, and performance management.
Promote a safe work environment with proper PPE and address safety concerns.
Drive on-time, quality part delivery per specifications.
Complete SIFs to remove barriers and keep tasks on time.
Train individuals on procedures and provide necessary resources.
Collaborate with leaders to ensure current parts blueprint is used.
Partner with scheduler to assign work and keep area organized.
Ensure tools/resources are available to maximize efficiency.
Drive cost efficiency by proper sequencing and reducing warranty/scrap.
Work with operators to develop fixtures, tooling, and procedures; submit ECNs/NCs.
Diagnose malfunctions and coordinate with Maintenance.
