Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our LEAN Manufacturing team in Newton, NJ. You will assemble components and products, inspect and test assemblies, and ensure quality while coordinating with Assembly, Planning, and Quality teams to meet production timelines.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. Expect a fast-paced environment with cross-training and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–3 years of experience in a similar position.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products of varying size and complexity, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing.
• Serve as a liaison between Assembly, Purchase Planning, Quality, and RMA; prepare correspondence and maintain records.
• Meet production order timelines and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with policies and procedures.
• Cross-train on functions to support production operations.
