Thorlabs in Newton, NJ, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a cleanroom team. You will assemble components, inspect parts, and perform final quality checks on products used in photonics.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years of related experience, and careful attention to detail. Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow written work instructions.
• Follow all cleanroom procedures to maintain product integrity.
• Wear cleanroom garb (hair bonnet, mask, gloves, coat, and shoes).
• Assemble components and products, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing.
• Meet the expected production schedule.
• Be a great teammate by asking/answering questions when unclear.
• Desire to learn new skills and become proficient at various assemblies.
• Set up or calibrate equipment, maintain records, and move material as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment per procedures and policies.
