Job summary
Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Process Engineer III to serve as a technical leader and mentor within Corporate Manufacturing Engineering. This hybrid role is based in Portland, OR, and focuses on leading complex manufacturing initiatives, coaching engineers, and driving project execution with a safety, quality, cost, and schedule mindset.
The position emphasizes hands-on problem-solving, strategic planning, and collaboration across Design
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- 5-7 years in manufacturing/assembly/industrial engineering or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
- At least 2 years supporting manufacturing launches, process improvements, or capital projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, and dashboard development.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for leadership presentations and messaging.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of assembly manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers across locations.
- Support safety-critical manufacturing systems, tooling, assembly processes, and controls.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
