Job summary

nVent in Minnesota is seeking hands-on, detail-focused teammates to support daily production goals. You will help maintain flow on the line, resolve problems, reduce waste, and communicate with a range of resources to keep operations moving smoothly.

This role emphasizes leadership, training and guiding area teams, with shifts including 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekends. The successful candidate will apply problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude to ensure consistent, safe and efficient

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year production/manufacturing work with lead experience required.
  • Demonstrated Leadership abilities.
  • Skill in Work Order management.
  • Knowledge with Windows: Word, Excel, Outlook as well as manufacturing or inventory software and the Internet.
  • Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications.
  • Ability to communicate job expectations to production staff and achieving desired results by monitoring, coaching, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct operator training on standard work to include work instructions, machine adjustments, product quality, company and value stream policies and procedures as required.
  • Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Pay Transparency

Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $24.24 - $44.42 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
