Job summary

nVent is seeking entry level and skilled Assembly Operators on 3rd shift to join our team. In this role you will perform a variety of duties involved in assembly, packaging, and paint preparation.

Pay transparency states compensation range from $14.80 to $27.50 per hour with potential for overtime and additional incentives. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and 5S standards while delivering innovative electrical solutions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience reading blueprints and following instructions preferred.
  • Knowledge in use of scales preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Experience assembling mechanical parts into a finished product preferred.
  • Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
  • Prior experience in a light industrial facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component according to Work Instructions.
  • Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
  • Selects and moves production materials as required.
  • Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
  • Meets safety, quality, and performance standards and adheres to 5S.
  • Records information on Manufacturing Orders and maintains inventory balances.
  • Notifies leadership of safety, quality, or equipment issues per escalation procedures.

nVent is looking for entry level and skilled Assembly Operators on 3rd shift to join our team. In this role you will perform a variety of duties involved in assembly, packaging, and paint preparation.

WHATYOU WILLEXPERIENCEIN THIS POSITION:
  • Work individuallyor aspartofa teamto assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product orcomponentof a product according to Work Instructions.

  • Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.

  • Selectsandmovesproduction materials asrequired.

  • Maintainsequipmentand materials necessary to complete the operation.

  • Meets established safety, quality, and performancestandards to ensure production schedules are met.

  • Recordsaccurateinformation on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary tomaintainaccuraterecords and inventory balances.

  • Complies withall applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to departmentleaderin accordancetoescalationprocedure.

  • Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • In accordance withescalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriateresourcewhen problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.

  • Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

YOU HAVE:
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred

  • Knowledge in use of scales, preferred

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred

  • Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred

  • Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred

  • Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred

  • Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
