Qualifications

Job Overview

The Production Operator I is responsible for safely operating production and assembly equipment. This position supports the manufacture of insulated terminals, connectors, splices, and related products by operating automated and semi-automated equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining production standards. The role contributes to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives while following standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures. Operators may be required to support multiple production processes through cross-training and workforce flexibility initiatives.

Job Requirements
  • Operate assigned production and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all work instructions, setup documentation, inspection criteria, and operating procedures.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure parts meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Accurately complete production records and required documentation.
  • Load raw materials and components into production equipment.
  • Package finished goods according to specifications.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support continuous improvement, 5S, and Kaizen activities.
  • Participate in cross-training within the RBY manufacturing areas.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
What Your Background Should Look Like

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating automated assembly equipment, presses, clinching machines, or terminal manufacturing equipment.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and become cross-trained across multiple RBY production areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve basic production issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00-$20.00/Hour + 10% Shift Differential for working 2nd Shift. (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
