Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions in New York state seeks a Production Assembler to build and wire DC power supplies per engineering drawings. You’ll use soldering tools, read schematics, and assemble harnesses, supporting prototype work as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years in mechanical assembly; ability to work independently or with a team; and eligibility for export controls. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assembles products to engineering specifications and drawings using provided tools.
• Uses soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work.
• Assembles parts including harness installation and wire stripping/crimping for large DC power supplies.
• May assemble prototype units for engineering.
• Recommends solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools.
• Assists other assemblers with questions related to assembly of products.
• Maintains compliance with Quality Management System procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembles products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided


• Use soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work


• Assemble parts and perform tasks such as harness installation, wire stripping/crimping, Sub and final assembly of large DC power supplies


• May assemble prototype units for engineering


• Recommends solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools


• Assists other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products


• Compliance with Quality Management System procedures

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 2+ years of experience working with mechanical assembly (ideally in a product development or automotive environment)


• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Desired Skills

• 3+ years as a Production Assembler/Technician


• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical products


• Capable to read engineering drawings including assembly drawings, schematics and engineering instructions


• Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gages- multimeters, torque and force gages, etc


• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a team as well as alone


• High motivation and drive


• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and transport of units up to 30 pounds unassisted


• Ability to use soldering iron


• Use of hands in a repetitive cycle

Compensation Information

Base Hourly Range: $ 20.00 - $25.00
