Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions, a world leader in Signature Management and Power Conversion for US and UK naval defense, seeks an electronics technician. You will test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic products to component level, read schematics, and set up test equipment.

Strong communication and adherence to quality systems are essential. Your role involves collaborating with assemblers, following procedures, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electronic/electrical industry required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance (US citizens).

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot electronic products to component level using schematics and procedures.
• Read drawings and schematics accurately.
• Set up test equipment and follow test procedures.
• Use voltmeters, oscilloscopes, IR meters, power supplies and other test gear.
• Provide technical assistance to assemblers.
• Suggest process improvements when needed.
• Follow written or visual instructions and communicate findings.
• Keep workstation and tools organized; adhere to QMS procedures.

ESCO Maritime Solutions is a world leader in Signature Management and Power Conversion solutions for the US and UK naval defense market. Our solutions enable critical mission system capabilities and increase naval stealth on submarine and surface ship platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot electronic products to component and sub-assembly level utilizing schematics and standard procedures
• Ability to read drawings and schematics
• Set up test equipment and follow test procedures
• Use test and measurement equipment including voltmeter, oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot meter, IR meter, power supplies, milliohm meter, LCR, and other automatic and standard test equipment
• Provide technical assistance to assemblers
• Recommends process improvements if necessary
• Utilizes written or visual instructions as needed
• Provides written and/or oral communication in reference to test and troubleshooting findings
• Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
• Compliance with Quality Management System procedures

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in the electronic/electrical industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to US citizens

Desired Skills

• Must be able to read and interpret schematics and/or diagrams
• Safety driven individual
• Experience with Analog and Digital power circuits
• Self- starter with excellent communication skillsSome travel required. Domestic and International

Physical Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time while performing a multitude of tests
• Bending and kneeling to wire power equipment
• Ability to carry approximately 35lbs of tools

Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 USD (Hourly)

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
