Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking an assembler to build products to engineering drawings and specs in a safe, organized environment. You will handle electronic components, subassemblies, and chassis-level assemblies, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure joining methods.

The role requires soldering and welding experience, familiarity with test and measurement tools, and the ability to work from drawings. Prior defense/aerospace exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (or technical certificate).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using basic manufacturing equipment and gauges (multimeters, torque/force gauges).
  • Soldering and welding experience required.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided.
  • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
  • Maintain a neat, safe and organized work area.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
  • Crimp, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, press fit or join parts in place.
  • Mount assembled components on chassis panel and connect wiring between components.
  • Install finished assemblies in cases, housings, and cans.
  • Assemble and attach hardware to assemblies.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching and color-coding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided
  • Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems
  • Maintains a neat, safe and organized work area
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device
  • Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place
  • Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panel
  • Connects component led wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases, housings, and cans
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching and color-coding parts and assemblies
  • Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor
Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gauges such as multimeters, torque and force gauges, etc
  • Soldering and welding experience required
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired Skills:
  • Experience as an assembler in defense manufacturing or aerospace
  • Experience with spray booth painting, conformal coating
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for an extending period
  • Ability to work with your hands in a repetitive cycle
  • Ability to stand and walk
  • Be able to lift 30lbs unassisted
