QPS Employment Group is seeking an Assembly Operator in Sturtevant, WI to support subassembly and final assembly operations and perform quality inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include testing subassemblies, verifying dies and components, and collaborating with quality engineers to resolve issues. Must have at least a high school diploma and experience in quality roles. Multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of experience in quality inspection/quality role preferred.
  • Experience with server troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to identify electronic components and use basic electronic inspection/testing tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
  • Ability to work in a production environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve production quality issues with Quality Engineers and Management.
  • Identify and recognize various electronic components.
  • Use common electronic testing tools and equipment for quality inspection and testing.
  • Support subassembly and final assembly operations.
  • Test subassemblies and final assemblies to ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure repair technicians follow established troubleshooting procedures.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently while meeting production timelines.
  • Perform final inspections and prepare detailed quality inspection reports.
  • Sort rejected products and maintain repair-line organization.
  • Verify repaired units meet appearance, functionality and quality standards.
  • Read prints and interpret codes, alphanumeric information, and product specifications.
  • Communicate observed trends and quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Verify tools and equipment are properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Title: Assembly Operator Wage: $18.00-$19.80 per hour Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm; 3:30pm-12:00am; 12:00am-7:30am Our client is seeking an Assembly Operator to support subassembly and final assembly operations and perform quality inspections in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with quality inspection, electronics, and troubleshooting experience who is looking to grow their career in a modern manufacturing environment. The Assembly Operator will verify product quality standards, perform inspections and testing, support production operations, and assist the Quality Department with a variety of activities to ensure products meet established standards. This position is located in Sturtevant, WI and has all shifts available.

Assembly Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Follow the direction of Quality Engineers and Management to investigate and resolve production quality issues.
  • Recognize and identify a variety of electronic components.
  • Use common electronic tools and equipment for quality inspection and testing.
  • Support subassembly and final assembly operations.
  • Test subassemblies and final assemblies to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Ensure repair technicians follow established troubleshooting and repair procedures.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently while meeting production timelines.
  • Perform final inspections as needed and prepare detailed quality inspection reports.
  • Sort rejected and quarantined products while maintaining proper repair-line organization.
  • Verify repaired units meet established standards for appearance, functionality, and overall quality.
  • Read prints and interpret codes, alphanumeric information, and other product specifications.
  • Communicate observed trends, unusual failures, and quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Verify production tools and equipment are properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Assembly Operator Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of experience working as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or in a similar manufacturing quality role strongly preferred.
  • Experience with server troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to identify electronic components and use basic electronic inspection/testing tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a production environment and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
