Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors is hiring a Group Leader Assembly Operations in Middletown, CT. The role leads and supervises assembly team members, oversees production scheduling, tool maintenance, and process control, ensuring performance and quality compliance under the Team Leader.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing assembly or production, with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of related experience required.
• Broad understanding of manufacturing methods and processes.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (word processing/spreadsheets).
• Moderate physical demand—lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and supervise functions in Manufacturing Operations to meet requirements and deliver products.
• Perform assembly and test operations, operate equipment, and monitor quality/schedule.
• Responsible for execution on assigned program budgets, costs to complete and compliance with quality systems.
• Ensure established metrics for quality, schedule, cost and lean practices are followed.
• Lead tool maintenance and ensure necessary materials, machinery and personnel are available.
• Collaborate with other departments to address problems and drive improvements.
• Provide input for employee performance, hiring and training decisions.
