Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT seeks a Group Leader for the Machine Shop to oversee production and drive efficiency in our critical manufacturing operations. The role focuses on supervising machine shop staff, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safe, reliable machine performance.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive machining knowledge, and experience reading blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in machine operation and maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and employees in the assigned area.
• Ensure schedules are met and machines run at maximum efficiency.
• Monitor team and provide training.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production and quality records and report to management.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes.
• Perform first piece inspection.
