Job description

General and Task Management:
  1. Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
  2. Communicate labor needs to Production Manager and Fab Manager.
  3. Ensure all personnel are wearing proper PPE.
  4. Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.
  5. Create standard work procedures for assembly processes.
  6. Ensure the team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
  7. Organize and issue tickets by date due.
  8. Manage work ticket completion and paperwork flow.
  9. Inspect, stamp, initial then put in complete box for warehouse.
  10. Ensure full adherence to 6S practices at all times.
  11. Clean, remove tools, extra hardware after each job.
  12. Organize tools and label area.
  13. Remove all waste from the area.
  14. Responsible for keeping Hardware room organized and pulling and stocking.
  15. Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated.
  16. Report to Fab Manager any non-conforming material.
  17. Write on the ticket what and how many were non-conforming for manager to document and fix so it does not occur again.
  18. Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed.
  19. Responsible for training assemblers for products and processes within the department.
  20. Use standard work to train employees.
  21. Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
  22. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.
  23. Ensure all records are completed appropriately.
  24. Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained.
