Schedule: Mon-Fri(and some Saturdays);8 Hour Shift

Position Summary

The Team Lead has primary responsibility in leading department employees through production jobs focusing on safety, accuracy and timeliness to meet department and company goals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Team Lead will perform specific job duties for their respective department (examples: Welding, Sanding, Machine Operating, etc.), as well as the following:

· Follow job schedule, adhering to plant production work flow

· Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team

· Oversee day-to-day operation

· Monitor team performance and report on metrics

· Discover training needs and provide coaching

· Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments

· Support team supervisor and perform supervisory duties when supervisor is absent or away from the workplace

· Assist team members by providing necessary supplies and resources to perform the essential functions of their job

· Motivate team members

· Assist supervisor with monitoring time and attendance

· Suggest strategies to management to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals

· Provide quality customer service, including interacting with co-workers, leadership staff, customers, and effectively handling customer concerns and/or complaints.

This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds is required.
