General and Task Management:
- Ensure efficient and effective use of people and resources to meet delivery requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Communicate labor needs to the Production Manager and Fabrication Manager.
- Ensure all personnel wear proper PPE.
- Maintain visibility and adherence to procedures and instructions.
- Create standard work procedures for assembly processes.
- Ensure the team is aware of daily targets and responsibilities.
- Organize and issue tickets by due date.
- Manage work ticket completion and paperwork flow.
- Update tickets on the whiteboard.
- Assign tasks to team members.
- Inspect, stamp, initial, and file completed tickets in the warehouse.
- Maintain adherence to 6S practices, including cleaning, organizing tools, and removing waste.
- Keep the Hardware room organized, including pulling and stocking hardware.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, documenting details for management.
- Follow escalation procedures for quality concerns.
- Train assemblers on products and processes using standard work.
- Support daily management to achieve operational success.
- Promote high standards through personal example and team rollout.
- Ensure all records, such as cycle counts and standard work instructions, are properly completed.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Leadership experience (2-5 years) in a production environment with proven leadership skills.
- Ability to present production schedules and status updates clearly to management.
- Hands-on mentality, comfortable working on the production floor.
- Computer skills including Teams, Sage (scheduling), Excel, and label making.
- Responsible for accurate use of the current timekeeping system for all supervised employees.
