Job summary

Mid-Continent Engineering, LLC in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Assembly Lead to supervise and train a team, ensuring efficient, high-quality parts production on a 6 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Thursday schedule. The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with HR, and utilizing tools such as rivet machines and power tools to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of assembly & supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint specifications and communicate direction to team.
  • Epicor ERP Software experience is a plus.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Ability to identify problems and offer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assignments can range from moderately complex to complex.
  • Position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using adhesives, hardware, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Refer to blueprints and specifications to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble parts/units.
  • Maintains a consistent, acceptable level of individual/ team quality and productivity performance.
  • Set up and operate all equipment in the department, such as rivet machines, punching machines.
  • Provide employee training & development.
  • The ability to give directions to meet or exceed the project deadline.
  • Work with the HR department maintaining employee hiring, retention, performance reviews, and disciplines.
  • Managing People - Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Provides regular performance feedback; Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products, and services.
  • Continually works to improve supervisory skills.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Summary:
