Job description

Assembly, Integration, and Test Technician

We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.

Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more!

Backed by substantial funding and a passionate, collaborative team, we offer a rewarding work environment where you'll learn and make a significant impact, no matter where you are in your career.

  • Perform spacecraft lifting and handling operations
  • Perform spacecraft testing of communications, telemetry and command, thermal, power, and propulsion subsystems per the applicable procedure
  • Operate spacecraft test consoles
  • Analyze and interpret electrical/RF test data and provide results and issues to engineering
  • Collaborate with AIT engineers to develop and document activities
Requirements
  • 2 - 20+ years of technician or related experience
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, test plans, and work to procedures

  • Willing and able to travel to support launch site efforts and off-site environmental testing
  • Climbing ladders, long durations of standing, grasping, sitting, pulling, and physical bending movements
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
  • Don't meet them all? Not a problem. Please apply even if you do not meet all these criteria
Bonus
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with handling and integrating space flight components and spacecraft environmental testing
  • Experience in operating cranes, man lifts, forklifts, and handling equipment
  • Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectral analyzers, etc.)

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
