Job summary

DaikyoNishikawa USA, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee assigned manufacturing lines, uphold safety and quality standards, and ensure compliant, efficient operations on the shop floor.

You will lead daily team meetings, coordinate staffing and scheduling, monitor KPIs, investigate issues, and partner with maintenance, quality, and engineering to meet production targets while advancing DNUS values and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned production lines to ensure safe operations, product quality, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Monitor and ensure daily production targets, efficiency goals, and department KPIs.
  • Monitor production performance, downtime, and identify actions to minimize disruptions and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate daily manpower assignments, manage absences, and adjust staffing levels to support schedules.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to communicate production updates, safety expectations, and department priorities.

Job Overview/Objectives

Role & Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight, Safety & Quality Management (40%): Oversee assigned production lines to ensure safe operations, product quality, and compliance with manufacturing standards and procedures.
  • Production Targets & KPI Achievement (20%): Monitor and ensure assigned production lines meet daily production targets, efficiency goals, and department KPIs.
  • Production Performance Monitoring (10%): Monitor production performance, downtime, and operational efficiency. Identify issues and support corrective actions to minimize disruptions and improve productivity.
  • Manpower Coordination & Scheduling Support (20%): Coordinate daily manpower assignments, manage absences, and adjust staffing levels as needed to support production schedules and operational requirements.
  • Team Communication & Daily Meetings (10%): Conduct daily team member meetings to communicate production updates, safety expectations, operational priorities, and department information.

Education and Experience

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Physical
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, pull, and perform physical activities required to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate equipment, tools, computers, and other business systems.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds independently.
  • Ability to visually inspect products, equipment, and work areas for quality and safety concerns.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
  • Position requires work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, varying temperatures, and production equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or alternative shifts as necessary to support production requirements.
