Job summary

UFP Industries in West Virginia is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure parts and supplies, set up work areas, ensure quality standards, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.

The role requires no mandatory experience, but candidates with at least 6 months in manufacturing/assembly and basic math skills are preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. UFP Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
