Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will set up the work area, align parts, and use hand tools to complete assembly while maintaining quality standards.

You'll ensure safe, clean, and organized work areas, keep production records, and follow safety and quality procedures. The role offers steady, full-time work in a team-focused environment with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required; however, 6 months manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup and ensures it is safe, clean and organized.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may label/ band components as needed.
• Maintains production records and checks materials/finished products for standards.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in safety/CI meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned
