Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I in Kentucky to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain necessary parts and supplies for operation.

The role involves setting up work areas, following prescribed instructions, operating hand tools, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met while contributing to production records and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may label and band components as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities


  • Completes work area setup

  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards

  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process

  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product

  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate

  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment

  • Maintains production records as required

  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards

  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards

  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required

  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred

  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred

  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - 19.00 dollars an hour dependent on experience* *Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living.
