Job summary

UFP Industries in Tooele, Utah is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure required parts and supplies and ensure proper setup for efficient production.

No formal experience is required, though 6 months of manufacturing/assembling experience is preferred. Candidates should have basic math skills, be at least 18, and be able to operate hand tools safely in a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and labels/bands as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area and reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in safety/CI programs.

Job Summary Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned
