Job summary

UFP Industries seeks an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role requires setting up work areas, aligning components, and using hand tools to complete assemblies while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Hourly pay ranges from $16.50 to $18.50, with a discretionary annual bonus possible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, stock purchase

Qualifications

• Six months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products and labels or bands components as needed
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues
• Maintains production records as required
• Performs duties following safety and quality procedures and participates in programs

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as requiredChecks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Hourly pay range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour, dependent on experience* *Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living. A discretionary annual bonus based on company and business unit performance, may also be provided.
