Job summary

UFP Industries in Burnsville, MN is hiring an Assembler I to fabricate components and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure parts, set up the work area, and ensure accuracy and quality throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and fabricate components according to instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools to complete assembly processes.
  • Prepare work area and maintain safe, clean, organized conditions.
  • Follow procedures to check materials and finished products for compliance.
  • Record production data and participate in safety and quality programs.
  • Assist with process improvements and general duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Hourly/Salary Pay Range

($18.00 - $20.00/hour) dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
