Job summary

UFP Site Built, LLC is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct components and supplies required for the operation.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to quality standards. Hourly pay starts at $16.50 and can go to $18.50 based on experience, with a discretionary annual bonus possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and, if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Hourly pay range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour, dependent on experience* *Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living. A discretionary annual bonus based on company and business unit performance, may also be provided.
