Job summary

KIMCHUK INC is seeking an Assembler - Secondary to support its electronics contract manufacturing operations. The role involves basic assembly, soldering, and following documented work instructions in a fast-paced production environment.

Experience in electronic component assembly is preferred but not required, with opportunities for cross-training across work centers. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Position Assembler - Secondary

JOB SUMMARY

Performs basic assembly operations following documented work instructions and/or customer documentation.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enters transactions into computer, completes logs, and records as required.
• Works under close direction of supervisor, group leader, or designee.
• Assignments may include component prep, manual assembly, mechanical assembly, board stuffing, cable or harness assembly, advanced level soldering, repair and rework, or other similar tasks.
• Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Experience in the manufacturing of electronic circuit board assemblies or systems.
• Experience hand soldering of through hole and surface mount electronic components and printed circuit board assemblies including rework, modifications, and repairs.

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Able to follow documented work instructions and use prints, drawings, travelers and bill of materials to accomplish work assignments.
• Able to gather materials and set up job with minimal supervision.
• Able to select the proper tools of the trade to achieve quality results.
• Knowledgeable of basic electronic component type, electronic component polarity markings and values.
• Ability to be cross trained to work in multiple work centers.
• Able to touch up, rework and repair printed circuit board assemblies both through hole and surface mount. Able to use Airvac systems.
