Job summary

KIMCHUK INC in Connecticut is seeking a Cable & Harness Assembler to perform cable assembly following documented work instructions on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include reading customer docs, entering records, and working under supervision with potential cross-training in related areas. Requires HS diploma and 2+ years of wiring/tool experience; IPC-620 knowledge a plus. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience wiring and hand tools.
• Experience reading customer work instructions and build materials lists.

Responsibilities

• Performs cable assembly following documented work instructions.
• Enters transactions into computer and maintains logs as required.
• Works under close direction of Production Supervisor or Group Leader.
• May perform wire cutting, stripping, and termination; other tasks as assigned.
• Flexible in a fast-paced environment and willing to cross-train.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Position Cable & Harness Assembler

Job Summary

Performs cable assembly operations following documented work instructions.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs cable assembly operations following documented work instructions and or customer documentation.
• Enters transactions into computer, completes logs and records as required.
• Works under close direction of the Production Supervisor, Group Leader, or designee.
• Assignments may include wire cutting, wire stripping and wire termination, or other similar tasks.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to be cross training within other areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Experience using hand assembly tools, i.e. - cutters, strippers for cable jackets and individual wires, various types of hand and semi-auto crimp tools, pliers, tweezers and knives,
• Able to measure lengths accurately, (US Standard and Metric), using rulers, measuring tapes and calipers.
• Ability to read and show understanding of customer work instructions and build material lists, as well and company required work and training documents. IPC620 understanding a plus.
• Able to communicate and read /write in English.

Education/Experience Required

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience working with wiring and hand tools.

Computer Experience Required

• Basic data entry skills
