Job summary

KIMCHUK INC, a long-standing electronics contract manufacturer, is seeking a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operator to join our production team in Connecticut.

You will set up and operate automated PCB assembly equipment, perform preventative maintenance, monitor quality, and work with team members to meet schedules.

Qualifications

  • Follow documented work instructions.
  • Able to use prints, drawings, travelers, and bill of materials to accomplish work assignments. Able to gather materials and set up job without supervision.
  • Knowledgeable of basic electronic component types.
  • Knowledgeable of electronic component polarity markings and values.
  • IPC-610 Certification or proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated SMT machinery for PCB production.
  • Perform intermediate level preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Monitor production quality and take immediate action if standards are not met.
  • Inform Supervisor or Group Leader of adjustments needed to achieve quality levels.
  • Enter transactions into computer and maintain logs/records.
  • Identify minor problems and recognize when escalation is needed.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.

Position Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operator

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Set up and operate automated machinery used in the manufacturing process of circuit boards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform setup and operate screen printer, paste inspection, pick and place, and reflow oven. Works in conjunction with group leader, setup person, in the setup and running of jobs on machines as directed by the team leader.
  • Performs intermediate level preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Responsible to keep the equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Monitors product during production to ensure acceptable quality, responsible to take immediate action if quality standards are not met.
  • Is responsible to inform the Supervisor or Group Leader of any adjustments needed to the process or equipment in order to achieve acceptable quality levels.
  • Enters transactions into computer, completes logs and records as required.
  • Ability to solve minor problem and recognize bigger problem that require Supervisor assistance.
  • Attenative to detail.
  • Works as a member of a team.
