Job summary

KIMCHUK INC, a long‑established electronics contract manufacturer in Danbury, CT, is seeking an Assembler - Manual Insertion to support a high‑mix production environment. You will perform basic assembly following work instructions and customer documents, working under close supervision.

Preferred experience includes PCB through-hole assembly; willingness to learn; ability to read drawings and follow BOMs. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, 401(k), PTO and a veteran-friendly workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCB through-hole assembly is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow documented work instructions, prints and BOMs.
• Able to set up lead forming and trimming with different plates for each job.

• Work under close direction of supervisor, group leader, or designee.
• Assignments may include component prep, manual assembly, mechanical assembly, board stuffing, or other similar tasks.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs basic assembly operations following documented work instructions and/or customer documentation.

• Assignments may include component prep, manual assembly, mechanical assembly, board stuffing, or other similar tasks.

EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Experience performing PCB through hole component assembly.

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Able to read and follow documented work instructions and use prints, drawings, travelers and bill of materials to accomplish work assignments.
• Set up the lead forming machines and trimming machines with the different plates of different dimensions to the required dimensions for each job.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools such as pliers, clippers, crimpers and screw and nut drivers
• Able to read and place parts from the instructions on the visual aids.
• Able to read the values on the parts to make sure they are correct.
• Able to read documentation and understand the correct placement of hardware stock-ups.
• Ability to be cross trained to work in multiple work centers.
• Knowledge of industry tools, hardware sizes, types, and proper stacking.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
