KIMCHUK INC is seeking an entry-level Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator to ensure quality in PCB assembly. You will operate the AOI machine, review defects for accuracy, and support production.

On-site in Danbury, CT, this full-time role includes training in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001, with benefits and opportunities for growth. Salary ranges based on experience and standard shift.

Qualifikationen

• Technical High School or Associate degree in Electronics would be a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience in production of and/or inspection of PCBs is a plus.
• Ability to read process sheets, drawings and understand part identification.

JOB SUMMARY

Position operates the AOI machine and reviews identified defects for accuracy.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) paste, component placement and solder joint defects.
• Load programs per documentation.
• Visually inspect PC boards to confirm acceptable soldering
• Using magnification aids and inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify component misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards.
• Ability to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to machine operator for immediate correction.
• Alert production operations of any ongoing defects in products
• Ability to sit for most of the working day.
• Must be able to read and understand process sheets (work routers), V.A (visual aids), assembly drawings, component identification and component polarity.
• Basic PC Knowledge.
• Work within other areas of department when needed.
• Performs intermediate level preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Responsible to keep the equipment clean and in good working order.
• Enters transactions into computer, completes logs and records as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Will be Trained in House on:

• Quality control and part identification.
• ESD Safety training and IPC-A-610 certification.
• Soldering to IPC-J-STD-001.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Technical High School or Associates Degree in Electronics and/or experience in production of and/or inspection of printed circuit boards would be a plus.

Willingness to learn new skills.
