Job summary

Kolpak is seeking an Assembly II to join the Parsons, TN facility. The role focuses on assembling walk-in cooler and freezer components in the RDI and/or Door departments, following work instructions and engineering drawings.

You will read orders and blueprints, use hand and power tools, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to 5S and PPE requirements in a hot manufacturing

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
• Perform basic math and reading comprehension.
• Read, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble walk-in cooler and freezer components in RDI/Door department per instructions.
• Perform panel-related assemblies, door components, hardware installation, Air Shield assembly.
• Read job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select and assemble materials.
• Inspect assemblies to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Operate hand tools and basic pneumatic or electric power tools.
• Load, unload, lift and move materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Complete and maintain production documentation (checklists, barcodes).
• Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping.
• Follow Quality and Safety Management System and Welbilt Code of Conduct.

Job Details

Job Location: Kolpak LLC - Parsons, TN 38363, Job Shift: 1st Shift, Job Category: Operations, An Assembler II performs general assembly operations within the RDI and/or Door departments. This role supports the assembly of walk-in cooler and freezer components, including Air Shield assemblies, by following established procedures to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee*.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assemble walk-in cooler and freezer components in the RDI or Door department in accordance with work instructions, job orders, and engineering drawings
• Perform general assembly operations including panel-related assemblies, door components, hardware installation, and Air Shield assembly
• Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and assemble required materials and accessory components
• Inspect assembled components to ensure conformance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements
• Operate hand tools and basic pneumatic or electric power tools required for assembly tasks
• Load, unload, lift, and move materials and assemblies using appropriate lifting equipment when available
• Accurately complete and maintain all required electronic and/or manual production documentation, including checklists, stamps, barcodes, and related paperwork
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
• Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct
• Actively participate in safety training and promptly resolve or elevate safety concerns
• Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice and the employee may be assigned additional tasks as needed to support business operations

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Manufacturing and or construction
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures
• Perform basic math and reading comprehension
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete for a full shift and work in temperatures above 95°F
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and lift 50 lbs alone; lift more than 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to handle tools safely and inspect finished products
• Must be able to wear PPE
