Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is hiring an Assembler I at our Romeoville, IL facility to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks, following instructions and blueprints. You will prepare work, read measurements, and ensure parts fit correctly.

You will use hand and power tools, participate in prototype builds, maintain safety standards, and document production steps for quality tracking. Prior manufacturing exposure is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• Ideally 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Assist in prototypes and basic assembly projects outside of normal production as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and document actions.
