Job summary

Medtronic plc in West Valley City, Utah, is seeking an Assembler I to support the manufacture of medical devices for patient care worldwide. The role is onsite, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with no travel required.

The position requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, basic math, and the ability to read simple mechanical drawings. Experience in a regulated medical device environment and cleanroom operations is preferred.

  • Ability to perform precision assembly work requiring manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, microscope use, and light lifting.
  • Previous medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Prior assembly experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience following detailed manufacturing procedures and documenting production activities.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, package, and label medical devices in accordance with manufacturing process instructions, quality requirements, and company procedures.
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet manufacturing goals and customer demand.
  • Read and interpret lot history records, work instructions, and basic mechanical drawings.
  • Document manufacturing activities and maintain accurate production records.
  • Operate within applicable quality system requirements, including FDA regulations and international standards.
  • Identify manufacturing issues or discrepancies and communicate them to supervisors or appropriate support teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel to support problem-solving and process improvement activities.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented work environment by supporting coworkers and promoting effective communication.

As part of the Manufacturing team, the Assembler I role supports the production of medical devices that are used in patient care around the world. This position is based in West Valley City, Utah and is an onsite role working Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No travel is required. Assembler I team members perform precision assembly of medical devices in a cleanroom environment using microscopes and specialized tools.
