Job summary

Aventure Staffing is seeking 2nd Shift Assemblers for an electrical supply company in Estherville, IA that has been in business for 50 years. The role pays $20.00 per hour, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm with occasional Saturday overtime.

You will perform direct labor duties assembling power cables, junction boxes, and components, use automatic equipment and hand tools, and apply proper torque settings under supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read workshop documents and specifications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and measurement with a ruler.
• Must establish proper torque settings during assembly.
• Must work effectively independently and in a team.

Job description

2nd Shift Assemblers $20/hr Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm Occasional Saturday overtime

Aventure Staffing is seeking Assemblers for an electrical supply company in Estherville, IA that has been in business for 50 years.

Responsibilities:

• Perform direct labor duties assigned by the Power Cable Lead/Supervisor, including the assembly of power cables, junction boxes, and other required component parts following established specifications.
• Use automatic equipment and hand tools effectively and safely during assembly.
• Use proper torque settings for each type of receptacle assembled during the production process using the reference guide and by asking the supervisor or lead for guidance.
• Assemble all products according to established guidelines
• Meet established production and labor requirements.
• Abide by company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist other departments as required or directed
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to read workshop documents, build specification sheets, and understand the requirements for assembling each cable
• Ability to identify basic primary colors independently.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and measuring (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; use a ruler to measure lengths & widths accurately.)
• Must be able to use automatic equipment and hand tools effectively and safely during the assembly process. This includes the ability to establish proper torque settings
• Must be able to work effectively independently and within a group or team setting on a daily basis.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 1-75 lbs.
• Must have dexterity and strength in both hands
• Must be able to stand consistently for 6-8 hours
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
