Job summary

Marquee Staffing is seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Assembler for an entry-level role in our manufacturing facility. Pay starts at $22-$23 per hour and schedule runs Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with overtime as required.

Under supervision, you will read drawings, assemble components, test and inspect subassemblies such as power connectors, modules, and cable harnesses. Training on first shift is provided before transitioning to the second shift.

Qualifications

2nd Shift Assembler – Entry Level Pay: $22-$23/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Training: Candidates must be available to train on first shift before transitioning to second shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented 2nd Shift Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate interested in building a career in electro-mechanical manufacturing. Under close supervision, the Assembler will perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly and subassembly operations. Products may include power connectors, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, electronic systems, and related subassemblies. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical-thinking skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret drawings and detailed work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow production drawings, sample assemblies, worksheets, wiring diagrams, and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret drawings to identify components and determine proper assembly methods.
• Assemble and mount components using hand tools, small power tools, soldering equipment, voltmeters, and related testing instruments.
• Prepare component leads and verify proper component placement, mounting, and orientation.
• Route and connect wires between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Position and align parts in jigs, fixtures, and other holding devices.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, or press-fit parts to secure them in place.
• Install small components into circuit boards, cables, connectors, and related assemblies.
• Inspect parts and perform basic functional tests.
• Perform processes such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding.
• Adjust or trim materials to meet required electrical or dimensional specifications.
• Perform hand soldering using a soldering iron as needed.
• Perform soldering and general inspection under a microscope when required.
• Conduct go/no-go testing and inspections to verify that parts and assemblies meet production standards.
• Troubleshoot finished products and replace defective components.
• Rework and repair units rejected during inspection or testing.
• Follow safety procedures when handling flammable or hazardous chemicals.
• Complete required quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Accurately record production information in logs, records, and other required forms.
• Follow detailed procedures and instructions completely.
• Perform other assembly and production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical training is preferred.
• Zero to two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn how to use hand tools, small power tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to perform detailed, repetitive work while maintaining consistent quality.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand written and verbal work and safety instructions in English.
• Must be available to work overtime Monday through Saturday as required.
• Must be available to train on first shift before transitioning to the second-shift schedule.
