Job summary

Remedy Staffing is seeking an electrical component assembler for a full-time role on the NE side of Des Moines. Starting pay is $23.00/hour with a standard 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday schedule and OT opportunities.

Duties include measuring, cutting cables to spec, assembling power connectors, terminating conductors, and packing finished assemblies for shipment. The role requires ability to read a tape measure, operate a sit-down forklift part-time, use hand and power tools, and lift 50-75

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret instructions or schematics.
• Operate sit down forklift 5-10% of the day.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Previous experience in cable assembly, electrical assembly, manufacturing, wire harness assembly, industrial equipment, construction trades, automotive or agricultural equipment, industrial maintenance, or a related hands-on field is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, grip, and perform repetitive hands-on assembly work throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift or move materials weighing 50-75 pounds for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Measure, record, coil, and cut cable to customer-specified lengths using approved equipment and measurement devices.
• Assemble and install industrial power connectors, plugs, receptacles, junctions, and related components.
• Terminate conductors and grounding conductors according to electrical diagrams, work instructions, and assembly specifications.
• Coil, secure, label, and package completed assemblies for shipment.
