Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking an Assembler 1 to drill, mill and assemble metal doors and frames to customer specifications. You will handle hand tools, label products, and learn basic welding as part of a fast-paced production team led by a Production Supervisor.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, able to stand for long shifts, and comfortable working in a production environment with moderate to high noise. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Assembler 1 is focused on drilling and milling metal, assembling/fabricating doors and frames to specifications provided by the customer. Additional activities may include welding, use of hand tools and packing products. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Production Departments, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

What We Are Looking For
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
  • Work performed inside a production environment.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
  • Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
  • The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
