Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) in the Dallas area, including Grand Prairie, is seeking a Material Handler to move glass and metal products through daily production. You will contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting the IG Department and reporting to the Production Lead.

We value attention to detail, reliability, and problem solving, with a safety-first approach. Prior warehouse experience is preferred; weekend shifts may be required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
  • One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transport of materials including glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
  • Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
  • Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
  • Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
  • Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

The Material Handler is focused on moving glass and/or metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Lead.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the IG Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include
