Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembler in Spring Grove, IL. Earn $16.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3 PM. This role focuses on assembling electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, inspecting work, and supporting safe, accurate factory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies using hands and light tools
  • Route and secure wires on harness form boards
  • Install cable ties, insulation, tubing, braided sleeves, and electrical tape
  • Use hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, and screwdrivers to complete assemblies
  • Insert terminated wires into connector housings and verify proper retention
  • Operate braiding equipment and perform cable preparation tasks
  • Test completed wiring harnesses and identify pass/fail indicators
  • Maintain quality standards and complete other assembly duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Assembler.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely handle parts and operate assembly tools or equipment.
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a factory environment while following established safety procedures.
