Job summary

Total Talent Solutions in Reno, NV is hiring an Assembler. This role pays $28.44 per hour and runs 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. You will assemble products using hand and power tools, follow detailed instructions, and help keep production on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in assembly or manufacturing, the ability to read blueprints, basic math skills, and a strong attention to detail. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and assembly specifications.
  • Basic math and measurement skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products according to customer specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Review shop packets, bills of materials, and production documentation to verify correct materials, quantities, and part numbers.
  • Select appropriate parts, tools, and equipment needed for assembly operations.
  • Inspect and measure finished assemblies using calibrated precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and report material, equipment, or production issues that could impact quality or productivity.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment used in production.
  • Maintain accurate production and work records in company systems.
  • Safely operate overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and powered and non-powered lifting devices to move materials and components.
  • Segregate scrap and recyclable materials and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow all safety requirements, quality procedures, 5S standards, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Support production goals while maintaining efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements
  • 1-2 years of assembly, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred.

  • Proven reliability, accountability, and strong attendance record.
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and position components using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Comfortable working with large, heavy, and cumbersome industrial parts and valves.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including starting early at 5:00 AM or extending shifts until 3:30 PM.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
