Job summary

Volt is seeking an Assembler in Rainsville, AL 35986 to join a hands-on manufacturing team. The role requires reading specifications, soldering wires, and assembling components while following safety and lean practices.

The position offers a full-time contract with pay between $13.00 and $15.00 per hour and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and more. Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, instructions, and examples.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

• Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
• Additional or updated duties as business demands change.

Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembler in Rainsville, AL 35986.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE.
• Bend, shape, cut, and solder wires/lugs.
• Attach wires using lugs/crimps.
• Perform sanding of wires as part of preparation process.
• Pull lead wires and sleeving.
• Use pneumatic/hydraulic crimping tools.
• Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Participate in physical inventory activities.
• Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
• Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
• Additional or updated duties as business demands change.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.

• Good time management skills with the ability to organize work.
• Manually handling up to 50 pounds occasionally by lift/push/pull.
• Standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to solder.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior Forklift operation experience preferred.

Pay Rate: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
