Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring an Assembler in Hammond, LA to join a collaborative production team. You will assemble products and components according to work instructions, inspect finished work, and help keep operations safe and efficient.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. You’ll use hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to meet quality standards and production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior assembly/manufacturing or training is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and safe work practices required.

Job Duties

• Assemble products and components according to work instructions and production standards
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and production equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain productivity while performing repetitive assembly tasks
• Follow workplace safety procedures and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to assemble products or components according to work instructions and production standards.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or production equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect completed work for quality.
• Ability to maintain productivity while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Dependable attendance, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial.
• Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Assembler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely handle parts and operate assembly tools or equipment.
• Ability to maintain productivity in a factory environment while following established safety procedures.
