Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking an assembler for the pump assembly line to perform final assembly, testing, and packaging. Responsibilities include kitting, sub-assembly, boxing, and adhering to quality standards in a production environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to operate air and hand tools. Applicants should be mechanically inclined and able to work flexible/extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn with no prior product assembly experience required.
• Experience using air and hand tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform all router steps on work orders to complete pump builds, including kitting, sub-assembly, and boxing.
• Follow standard work in the production cell to meet design specifications and quality procedures.
• Perform TPM on department tools and equipment and hydro-test when required.
• Maintain accurate production logs and report to Supervisor daily.
• Ensure safety, policies, and procedures are followed and strive for continual improvement.

Job description

The assembler incumbent performs value adding processes in the assembly department for pump builds. Complete final assembly of product consisting of tasks such as kitting, assembly, testing of finish goods, and final packaging including but not limited to Boxing and Palletizing.

Education

High school or equivalent preferred

Experience

• No product assembly experience required; ability to learn
• Experience using air and hand tools
• Mechanically inclined
• Assembly or production experience a plus
• Packaging and Palletizing in Production experience a plus

• Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform all router steps on the work order required to complete a pump build which includes but is not limited to kitting, sub-assembly, and boxing of pump
• Follow standard work in the production cell to conform to product design specifications and comply with all quality assurance procedures
• Perform TPM (total preventative maintenance) on department tools and equipment
• Perform Hydro-test on required work order and capture certificate
• Ensures duties performed meet company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Capture production log and report to Supervisor and Lead daily
• Maintain inventory accuracies by transacting work order and move orders properly and completely in Oracle
• Responsible for completing priorities set forth by the lead and supervisor for the day
• Must comply with the Company’s policies and procedures
• Performs all duties as assigned by the department lead to support production
• Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics, and legal compliance
• Practice lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in the daily work
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures and rules
• Work overtime as required
• All other duties assigned
